@WishyQ I do not clear on what you are asking. An image sequence can be used as a texture (UV unwrapped or not). If what you are asking is if you can deform the UV mapping over time, then the answer is that it has to be done with AnimAll. Please clarify (or ask this as a regular question on BSE)

@Cegaton Aha! So AnimAll is used for animating the UV mapping itself, not the image assigned to it?
@Cegaton yes, I was asking about using an image sequence on the UV-mapped object, I do not understand things well enough yet to really ask the right questions clearly! I am about to do some experimenting and I will know soon if this will work.

@WishyQ you are confusing two things: UV and texture. UVs are coordinates, meaning how the texture is mapped over a material. Materials can use images (or image sequences), and those can be mapped using UVs or not (preferably using UVs, as they will give you more control) Usually UVs are static, meaning the texture doesn't shift place over time.

@cegaton I am confused in general about UV mapping! Thank you for the clarification. :)

@Cegaton Another question, ctrl-Z has stopped working since i began working on UV unwrapping. Now i am compositing and ctrl-z still is not working. Is this common?

guys i have two 720p videos which i want to place in a 4k video format using blender, on the timeline when i set opacity to 0.5 on the top video, both videos show up with 50% brightness, when i set opacity as 1 on top video, bottom video vanishes, when i set top video's opacity to 0 , bottom video shows up with full brightness, i want both videos to show up in full brightness, how do i do that ?
@DanushkaGunawardena please ask in the main site and include images of your setup.
@cegaton , is there a chat room in main site for blender ?
try a room called "the render farm"
@cegaton Thanks

So, if I download and use the color management replacement from GitHub, and I already have a rendered frame that I've saved out to EXR a long time ago, will the grading still work on that old EXR? My expectation is that the EXR is just raw, wide-range data, and if I import that into the Blender compositor, the updated CDL node will still work with it.
Is that right?

@Mareck: That's impressive. I second Troy, it looks photographic. The overall look is really convincing.
I'm also with him about the curves in the CM panel. Like the curves in the compositor they are drawn over the linear scale, so you have all your below-midgray values crunched in a really small area of the UI, making it impossible to work with.
At least in the compositor you can stuff a couple of gamma nodes before and after the curve to flip to gamma and back (which is an awful hack we shouldn't use at all if nodes allowed users to choose the colorspace for their UIs).
