@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 well, "higher gauge = more resistance" makes sense if you think of "higher gauge" as "bigger numbers" as the AWG system works, vs. metric wire which actually makes sense :P

@Shalvenay - Yah, I thought about that, however, that's not really how the OP was saying things. And you're right ... AWG, along with many other things here in the States don't make much sense, lol. They just are what they are. One has to either accept and understand what's going on, or go crazy trying :o)
