@BobCross Now that I've made room for the car in the garage, I could build a sim racing rig to occupy that space. Of course, we all know Corvettes melt in the rain so maybe that's not the best idea.'
Success! (ish)
It's a mess. I know. I broke down (literally) dozens of boxes and filled up the dumpster at the (shut down due to COVID) senior center down the street.
But, it fits. If I can just convince her that we don't need boxes of DVDs that are on the NAS and kid's clothes that are too small for our (REALLY) last kid, it'll be basically empty.
Two weeks ago you couldn't walk in there.

@3Dave I find it fascinating that some problems are universal
How often do I think: I ordered my stuff nicely so that I can easily reach this and that. And now all the space is stuffed up with old kid toys, souvenirs and other things nobody needs in the next decade..

There is a bird house over the battery charger!
How often do I need the battery charger for the power tools, and how often does she needs the old bird house the kids once made?

The response is always: And where should I store it else?
I could own an entire barn and we could fill it in a month..

@Martin Thanks - Paulster2 has already dealt with tehm
@3Dave I am so jealous of how much space you guys have over there! That's over twice the size of my garage! (Plus mine is in a block well away from the house, so no power, but I'm quite lucky to even have a garage...)

@NickC There are a couple of houses at the top of my street with big garages. One is a big double, and one fits 3 stretched limos. I can just about fit 3 motorbikes in mine...

@Martin I hear you on the bird house thing. I have four cat carriers sitting here. (We do not have any cats, nor any plans to acquire one.) We have three storage units full of her stuff that, in 9 years, she has never visited. My best estimate is that they've cost me about $20K USD over the years (not adjusted for inflation since I don't feel like doing differential equations this morning).
@NickC Well, one thing we have in spades in Texas is space. And cows. And steak. Really, really awesome steak.
I finally found time to complete the mold for the C6 hood, and of course it's now 33º outside. Gelcoat and resin really, really don't like to work below about 55º. :(
The universe wants me to continue to have a messed up hood.
Being Dallas, though, it'll likely be 70º again a few days.

We are currently using the ideal space recovery technique: Eldest is moving into first apartment. Rotate extra furniture cannon to bear and... fire!

@BobCross - Sounds like a weiner!

It's the greatest - it's like we just discovered that our house has at least two more rooms! ;-)
