Well sh**, I guess I’m gonna have to walk home today
Everything working out in my therm valve, timing bolt cover and water pump replacement, except the last bolt that holds it, it’s an allen 5mm and I think it’s eaten, it ends up rounding my allen key
I can either try to put the other ones in place, cut my losses and remount everything with the old water pump (which sucks because it was a pain in the arse to open it all)
Or I don’t know what, keep it all open here at work until I figure it out

@IanC how accessible is it? Could you cut a slot in it or apply liberal amounts of heat

@IanC I had some success in such cases with a pin punch, just make a small incision and hit it tangentially

@Zaid @Martin It was an relatively accessible place, I could cut a slot but I managed, after tons of frustration, to remove it using a torx T30 instead
I'll still need to walk home though, no time to finish the job before my shift is over, so I'll resume tomorrow, my next issue is removing the water pump itself
it's very stuck, probably because of rust, they say you have to hammer it out but I had not luck yet
I don't want to damage the block or anything else by accident, so even hammering it I'm trying to be careful

Think I'll write a question, maybe other cars have this same issue of the water pump getting stuck and there are some tricks to remove it

Q: Removing stuck water pump - GM Corsa B

IanCI have a GM Corsa 1.0 MPFI (Brazillian version of the Opel Corsa B) and today I started replacing some parts, including the water pump. I had heard from other owners and mechanics that sometimes this water pump gets stuck because of rust and it's really hard to remove, requiring that you "hammer"...
