The struts for the 2002 Forester are slightly different from the 2004 WRX struts. The older design expected you to disconnect the brake line and feed it through the strut. I said "Ha!" and got out my hacksaw.

@BobCross - We'll call that a "pro-mod" :o)

I then had to mod the new struts in the same way. Sorry, I'm not perpetuating a dumb design decision.
