@Emigna Ah, εNXQ+} is pretty nice, thanks! I've edited my answer and added a legacy version. That one runs in 0.5 sec, while the Elixir version (which is a few bytes shorter due to newer builtins) times out..
@Adnan Any idea why the performance of Elixir is in some cases so horrid?.. :S And I see there is a compiler flag --time to time the entire run (which TIO already does). Is there also one to time each section so you can find a bottleneck somehow?

@KevinCruijssen Honestly, I have no idea. I expected the Elixir version to be faster than the Python version, but for some reason this doesn't seem to be the case.
My assumption is that it has something to do with the way loops are implemented, but I cannot pinpoint what the problem is
