I had an idea for a new quick: if the link being modified returns a truthy value, print its first input to standard output and exit, otherwise return its first input unchanged
this would save a lot of bytes in "loop until something happens" algorithms, because as it is you have to arrange things to drop out of the loop at the right time
which is particularly costly if you're checking inside a nested loop
(the shortest way to loop in Jelly is normally ß, but that has the problem that it doesn't have any way to exit at all, without running the ß conditionally)
