@NikeDattani That would get closed rather quickly on chem SE unless the OP did some very generous editing. It's sort of a "meta" question: "is it is actually possible to reverse engineer detergents with different applications to obtain one that is universally applicable"? Why not ask simply, "is it possible to design a multi-purpose detergent?". The asnswer of course would be "yes but...."

I actually think you might turn it into something appropriate for materials modelling since you might apply ML algorithms to optimize formulation.

@ImJustKawaii Atkins is the gold standard imho. I would suggest working hard at Atkins. You may want to complement it with textbooks devoted to a single topic, ie Intro to Thermodynamics, of which there are many.
