Q: How to compare stability between 5‐methylcyclohexa‐1,3‐diene and 3‐methylenecyclohexene?

VegaProblem Compare stability of 1 and 2: Answer My approach Both have the same number of π-bonds. Both have one resonance structure. Both are non-aromatic. In 1 there are three α-hydrogens, whereas in 2 there are four α-hydrogens. As extent of hyper-conjugation is more in 2 than in 1, making 2...

@M.A.R. Hi :-) How are you and little bro? Hoping you and everyone in your family to be in best of health and is in safe settlement.
When you get time, please explain to me the job of “Remdesivir” injection. Some people say that it can delay the death of a dying person by 2 days.

@ConGovDeIn Hi! It's a little awkward, because you've probably changed your username or something and I can't recall my previous conversations with you. Anyway

Q: Why does not gas liquify at a temperature above the critical temperature no matter how much pressure is applied on it?

user281837My textbook says that critical temperature is the temperature above which a gas cannot be liquified no matter how much pressure we apply on it. But why? What is so special about this 'critical temperature'? I mean, if we apply a ridiculous amount of pressure, the gas molecules have to come closer...

@ConGovDeIn AFAIK, the only approved treatment for Covid is remdesivir. I also know that, in times like these, the only consistent thing about the way the public behaves is countless gossips, only a very small portion of which are true. I need to know about the context of that quote to opine further, and it may have been said in negative or positive light. The only thing I can recommend is, if you Google a claim and CDC and WHO don't endorse it,
At best it's a quote taken out of context from a scientific article, and at worst, which is very often, just an conspiracy theory. An actively harmful conspiracy theory, I might add.
All of that commentary aside, the phrasing of the quote seems unscientific. We can't predict anyone's time of death, and biological mechanisms are often too variable in the population for a statistically significant number of people to have died two days after the injection, and if true, that often won't mean it's a good thing, if this quote had any chance to be a paraphrase of something scientifically approved

Q: Why is there so little interest in the election?

Martin - マーチンWhile there is still some time left, I'd like to get some insight into the community why there is so little interest in becoming a moderator. I have seen plenty of active users that could run for election, because they are currently already doing most of the work. I guess there are reasons and I'...
