@user137 Re Chemdoodle-related entry on chemistry.stackexchange.com/questions/141764/…
The «normal» Microsoft Arial is not the same as using Arial Unicode MS, the later with a (of course) wider range of glyphs available, including the Angstrom in vertical and horizontal direction. I took the liberty to venture out some of the fonts available on an elder installation of ChemDoodle 8.1 to create the following tour d'horizon (export as in vector .svg in first place, of course):

@Martin-γƒžγƒΌγƒγƒ³ Switching from one style sheet, to an other in ChemDoodle (but it is not something I blame to either ChemDraw, or ChemDoodle, or an other sketcher), one may actually see how the formulae «breath», e.g., between RSC 1-column
to ACS-1996 (the left one). The on the right is scaling intentionally the drawing of the topolone alone.
Thus I agree, drawing the molecule on paper, or with a sketcher, is not this much trustworthy.
As for Hugh Laurie at the Emmy awards, youtube.com/watch?v=v9YT8crxv80, after the first minute.
