@Loong I like Shog's view on it
And it's perhaps even more relevant to science sites

Instead of a "caption the picture" contest, we need to have a "suggest what Ivan would comment" contest.

A: Why is ligand substitution only partial with copper(II) ions and ammonia?

Stagg C.In this complex you're going to see an arrangement with 4 equatorial and 2 axial ligand positions. In such compounds, ligands that are stronger σ-donors and weaker π-acceptors preferentially occupy the axial positions. On the other hand, weaker σ-donors and stronger π-acceptors preferentially o...

Am I missing something? NH3 is higher in the spectrochemical series than H2O, because it is a "better pi acceptor", despite neither of them actually being pi acceptors?
Equatorial positions are electron-rich but axial positions electron-poor, despite the fact that you can rotate 90° and interconvert the two?
@Loong Ah, but there are five deleted comments...

BTW, does the notation in the last entry mean 23.3(5) = 23.3 ± 0.5?
Oh, no; it means something else...
I was highly disappointed.
