Hey guys is anyone on?
I have a question, but I don't know if it's too broad.
It's related to nmr and ir.
Please ping me when someone comes online, and wish to help me out.

@PrittBalagopal, here's what I think this guy did: He submitted a question, which I answered. My answer didn't quite hit what he was looking for, so rather than asking for clarification via comment, he created a new account and asked almost the same question. If you have not flagged it yet, I will.
@PrittBalagopal , I just saw the second question in the review cue as a duplicate of his first question (looks like Mithoron marked it as dup). I'll leave him/her a note in the comments regarding how to ask for clarification on a question (i.e. don't just create a new user and ask a new question!)

@orthocresol I tried to answer your question with my terrible QM skills. Not sure if answers the right aspect.

@Zhe I saw. I haven't managed to look at those super closely today... some time soon(TM)

@airhuff I haven't done it yet, so please do!

Q: Greek letters in front of inorganic/mineral formulas

rmza7What do Greek letters in front of the formulas for minerals/inorganic compounds mean, such as $\gamma\textit{-}\ce{Al2O3}$ or $\alpha\textit{-}\ce{Fe2O3}$?

I mean, obviously I agree with it... but is there some sort of automated AI-based decision-making that goes on?

@hBy2Py OP agreed with it

I feel like this is a question people here would have useful things to say about, but it just doesn't fit on chem.SE
