@TIPS Lethal

@Mithoron Well, I'm not above anyone else. If you want a new event like that, I can arrange stuff. If you don't, then we can move on happily.

@TIPS Why not? this would be a great fun ;)
@MAFIA36790 I'm not asking for biased opinions
user116211
Noo, it's not biased ;/
@MAFIA36790 Not at all!
I love people's logic.
user116211
hmm.
user116211
We can talk with some wonderful guests, know about their works, how they got motivated, their recent research works, and of course more fun. So, what do you think? I'm not seeing its con ;/

@TIPS Who's that fool?
How am I supposed to know?
@MAFIA36790 My main concern would be who'd show up.
user116211
@TIPS hmm... mart?
user116211
Well he is busy this fall.
We don't want an event with three people nagging at different intervals that this event is not working.
We want something that works.
I have no idea how many people would feel like chatting in that event.
user116211
@TIPS like?
08:35
We only set up TRE because I was sure some people want to help, but they're not organized-ish.
user116211
Only problem I'm seeing is the lack of a good audience. Just me, you and some regular chat users wouldn't be sufficient.
user116211
Although at the first Physics AMA, we had a decent number of people present during the event....but conversations remained confined only to the regular users.
user116211
Of course, we have to keep in mind that Physics SE is bigger than Chem.
Much bigger.
@MAFIA36790 Also note that not everyone would talk in a big event.
Sometimes, catching up to reading what others have written is hard enough not to be able to type anything.
Consider that many users are not native Englishers.
@MAFIA36790 AND we don't need an event to start talking.
user116211
@TIPS Well, they should know SE's standard language is English, shouldn't they?
08:42
They know.
Anyone that's participating in chat has at least some main site experience.
For the next AMA, pro tip: Make a meta post and ask about what questions are allowed and what questions are not.
Decide the direction your event is headed to.
user116211
@TIPS Well, it's already done:
Do you want real physics problems, interesting physics news, or just getting-to-know-you stuff?

Q: Ask Me Anything 12th July: guest's introduction and questions

yuggibI will be the next AMA guest. So here it is a brief introduction of myself, and you can suggest some topic/questions that can be discussed during the session. Academic Background. I obtained a master degree in theoretical physics almost ten years ago, working on the regularization of path integr...

user116211
Here it is briefly written what should be asked; although there is no strong boundary between what to be asked and what to be not.
@MAFIA36790 Wow! What a conclusive post. I see more than 30 answers there!
@MAFIA36790 Inb4 you realize the "Ask Me Anything" is not an apt title for the event.
user116211
08:45
hmm.
But I guess ya physicists love acronyms so.
user116211
Well, the name came from the Reddit culture.
user116211
I last logged in to my fb account 7 months back.
user116211
Maybe much earlier.
