I find it interesting that my upload speeds are faster then my download speeds

At my school I got up to 32mbit/s download

and 35 upload

the whole building is wired with 100mbit/s wires but all of the computers are old pc:S so they cna only use 0-1 mbit/s! so when i use my laptop I'm waaaay fatser than everybody else!

Q: Is there a way to play music from a server throw the network and has two computers as speakers?

Hi, I have a server (ubuntu 8.04 server) that I want to use as a music player. I want my laptop ubuntu 10.04 to be one speaker and my mac pro (mac os x 10.6) to be the other. Can I make this possible? and then how?
