Hey guys, just for those that are not aware "Boong" is an ethnic slur in Australia and New Zealand. Troll questions that use these terms (and from users using this name) should be flagged as bigotry and abuse.

@GregoryCurrie as a kiwi I've never heard that term before, but thanks for pointing it out. I was pretty sure that user was a troll, but not sure enough to flag.

@GregoryCurrie you mean boonga I think, derogatory term for Islanders last I heard of it.

@PlayerOne perhaps, I meant NZ, should have said that, I don't know much about Australia. Spent many years in NZ though.

I've never heard Maori called boong....

but it was in common use for Pacific Islanders back in my time

@Kilisi Yea I'm a Kiwi, and I've literally never heard it before, but like you say it's similar to other slurs that I've heard, and apparently it IS a real thing in Aus

@PlayerOne I'm talking 20 years ago, a couple of years ago when I was there they were all trying to talk like handicapped USA gangsters. Slurs come and go....
