Oh crap. Enforced reboot for Windows Updates and I have 25 unsaved SQL query windows open. Would just discarding all of them teach me a lesson?

@Snow it probably won't.. give it a month and it'll be the same again.. it's the circle of life

I think some of those windows have been open for a month.

@Snow 25?

@MisterPositive I know, it's not a lot - some of them are long.

@Snow OMG....
What tool do you use to keep track of your Queries? SSMS?

10:47 AM
Yes.

You're even worse then me
I frequently get dunked on for having more then 3 ssms windows open at once

I have a ton of various files and code open, but 25, dude..... ;-)

@Magisch Really? I didn't think anyone was worse than you! :p

I think you need professional help @Snow
Hodor.

@Snow somehow I picture you as the software developer equivalent of groundskeeper willy from the simpsons
the angry scot
but I too am working on a type of CRM/ERP system
@MisterPositive my personal limit is 5-8 for stuff i'm actively working on
after that I lose track quickly

10:54 AM
@Magisch Yeah, I am similar in that regard.
I have a feeling @Snow is a lot smarter than I am.

@MisterPositive are you positive on that?
one thing i'm not very good at is puns but that doesn't stop me from making a near infinite number of them

@Magisch well no....LOL
{Time to make the donuts, I will check back in later}

Currently.. 12 copies of VS 2015, 17 tabs in SSMS

@motosubatsu What on earth are you doing with 17 tabs in ssms

@Magisch had forced reboot the other day and lost a load
normally I hover around 20-30 tabs

12:03 PM
Multitasking > Prioritising

depends. I'm a programmer, I absolutely cannot multitask programming

12:51 PM
@Magisch I don't like multitasking when in "programming" mode but needs must when production issues arise - FWIW 14 of my current SSMS tabs are directly related the one issue I've been investigating for the last few hours

Cheers, folks. It's been fun

@RichardU laters :)

@motosubatsu gonna miss chat, but not the nonsense. This old workhorse is going out to pasture.

ever consider staying in the chat without actively participate in workplace.SE?
I'm not active for asking/answering question, but I'm still there to chat with random folks when I have time

So you're telling us that you handled a similar situation very badly and now OP should listen to your advice? Not very convincing... Quitting is always an option, therefore please stop repeating it all the time. — Chris 3 hours ago
Flagged this. This person also seems to be starting to go through my history to down-vote.
@Kepotx Nah, It's clear I've worn out my welcome. Look at all the downvotes my meta post got. I don't want to be here, folks don't want me here. I'll miss a few of you, but there are more I have no intention of interacting with. You are in the former group, BTW. Take care

@RichardU Nothing like trolls mucking it up on old posts...
