system has recently changed to allow per-site limit of questions in hot list, are we interested?

> if a site wants to reduce their HNQ footprint, we can lower it... Sites will need to go through a meta discussion before requesting this change...

I ask because today I checked the hot list and 4 out of our 5 questions in there were protected (2 of them automatically). This looks somewhat stressful. At first I thought maybe it's normal and checked other questions and no one else was protected, neither manually nor automatically. And I think no other site had that much questions in the list

...another worrying indication of stress are answers with mod notices. Search shows 4 notices in last two days, 3 of them in hot questions. There are maybe more because search doesn't list deleted posts - maybe moderators can check that

this is not true. If someone else has third party cover on their own car but want to "joyride" they are still able to drive his car if their insurance covers it

then you go in a long loop of trying to say no

Say no, be assertive and leave it at that. If they don't understand then tough. If they do then that's fine.

But IPS sure is a place where we try to cover all potential scenarios when answering because chances are someone will come in comments and say "but what about when X happens and ..."

to do TDD and uni test. rest I did

and what I did was something I had been learning for few weeks now. It was the power of trasferable Knowledge that I can do it so easily. I was scared to death coz I cannot do algorithms

I gained a lot of knowledge with my last contract and studying on my own. doing projects

@Nofel therefore, that's really a good thing. Not only it means that you can learn a lot in a short time, but the company (at least if they kept records of previous cv) know that you can progress quickly, and will help you to do it

@motosubatsu wow. I'm currently sleeping less than usual, with 5-6 hours instead of 8, and already see some effects

@RichardU I think it is a bit sexist as well tbh.

I don't care what gender it is, but when someone perpetuates a negative stereotype and is asking for advice for furthering that stereotype, it becomes sexist.

Whether it's "all women are sl*ts" or "all men are rapists", it shouldn't matter imo.

@RichardU it is not my expertise but I want to be, today interview was too good. they gave me option to do X task in my own framework of voice. It was easy for me to do in both, Although I had no testing exp. that is why the front end lead sat with me and while I coded he told me "this is where u shld create test", It was unique interview though.

tbh I was scared like anything, someone told me to get better at solving these hackerrank.com/challenges/sock-merchant/…

but I cant make sense of even first one, even If I have know about on how to do it.
