Would you say my answer is harsh? I feel like this guy expects his projects to be straight forward and he can start and stop when he wants but in my experience in development you get given a project and you complete it?

If I were you I would ignore the monetary side of it and attend the events in good spirits. Think of it as an investment in the kids wellbeing and your own contribution to their lives. You take out of life what you put in, it's not all about money (just mostly). Go in with the attitude you're go...

Free food, facepaint and costume, sounds like great fun. No sense being a money grubbing miser if you want to teach.

@Twyxz yeah I've never weighed much.. back when I used to cox rowing crews I was at a regatta in Durham and was tucking into a massive fry-up for breakfast, one of the crew asked what the hell I was doing (for coxswains lighter = better) my response was "trying to make minimum weight" :D

AHhahahaha, I used to be 6ft and about 55 kilos actually, but when I started to box I started to gain weight I sit naturally around 70 kilos ish

@motosubatsu I had that problem but going to the gym and playing sports just slowly made me constantly hungry and gaining weight became a lot easier when I was eating 1000+ calories per meal then having stupid amounts of snacks. It's died down a bit now but I still sit naturally heavier

@Summer I had a 911 for a while. It was really nice to drive, but pretty impractical and a bit of a waste for day to day driving. It was also invariably embarrassing to get out of. I got speed out of my system and now I go for comfort.

when fit and training regularly I generally sit around my current weight - my current routine involves hitting the gym 5-7 times a week. I did a gentle one this morning and I'm going back this evening for a bit more of an intense one

@Snow Yeah.. it's something that's always concerned me about getting a caged up car like a GT3 - I'm not exactly graceful at the best of times, climbing out of a car with a cage would result in me faceplanting more often then not I think

In a showroom once, I sat in a boxster with sports seats. I almost had to ask a passing salesman to help haul me out of it.

@Snow Boxsters are deceptively hard to get out of, getting in is easy - you just sort of fall and land on the seat. Worst was an Elise though - I thought I was going to be stuck there forever

"working out" for me is pretty much just having the laptop in the garden.

@Twyxz the best way I found is full-fat milkshakes or in extreme cases I've used meal-replacement shakes as drinks. When I had my fun time with appendicitis earlier in the year I came out of hospital looking like pot-bellied skeleton (obviously my stomach area was somewhat inflamed following the surgery rather than it being fat). It was not a good look!

Dunno if anyone else has tried "huel", I've used to to lose/balance my weight, lots of people use it for different stuff though.

@TolMera haven't tried it myself.. can see how it makes sense as supplemental nutrition or if you're in a hurry. Have heard of some people who literally have nothing else though - and that just sounds depressing!

Mmm it's pretty easy to flavour the stuff if flavour is what you're after, but I like texture.
it's scales somewhere between "thickshake" or "gritty water" depending on your ratio, so I definitely want a 'meal' to chew if I don't have anything else for a day or two.

I think i'll stick to chicken, rice and broccoli if I need to be quick and clean

@Snow My bf has a 964 that I've driven a couple of times, I don't think it has enough comfort to be a daily driver, it's a pain in heavy traffic. But the 2007 boxster is comfy enough for me. I don't even need a lot of speeds just the current car makes it hard to just overtake people which is insane.

Plus idk how I'd feel about having a daily driver that expensive, people with lease cars are assholes with parking.

@Summer I know the feels, when someone is doing a speed where you can cruise in say 4th gear, but accelerating is hard so you drop and then slowly build up passed them

Of course 2 days later the 1st order arrives. Being the good person I am I say this to their service desk (why even idk) and they just tell me I can keep both orders. ^^
