Well we finally did it. World Building has a podcast. Dubbed The Factory Floor, the first episode has been posted to YouTube! https://medium.com/media/31f2aed8239b852797a052b4923e8ce6/hrefIn this episode, brought to you by Celebrity Jeopardy and Soylent Green, we discuss the concept of world building, the alignment of historical and fictional characters, why we love building worlds, and in case

@James and the other folks from #1: I couldn't get Medium to treat the video preview as the featured image on the front page, which means the alignment chart is the only other option and what it therefore decided to use. If you can think of an appropriate graphic to add to the post that's more interesting than that, feel free to edit it in and mark it as the selected one. (I forget what the magic key combo on Windows is, but it's in the help.)

@MonicaCellio Thanks for posting it :)
If I get around to finding another photo I will update it

@James I wonder if a screencap from the podcast itself -- something showing all four faces (well, three faces and a bird) -- would work. You could place it at the end of the post (out of the way) but mark it to be the highlighted one. A screencap from the video might not be high-enough res, but you have the source, right?

Uh...maybe yes...probably, we have the you tube channel account I think all the source files are in there somewhere

@James how did you record the video? I thought you recorded one big video file from your screen (with the four windows) and sent that to Art. That's what I meant by "source".

3:33 PM
@MonicaCellio Nex actually recorded the master video but I think we have a copy of it up on the drive account.

4:09 PM
@James oh, I misremembered -- sorry.
That actually reminds me: I know somebody records the video with all four of us and we each record our own sound. Is anybody also recording a joint sound feed as a backup, in case anything goes wrong with an individual one? I found myself wondering last night during a storm about the effects of a power flicker for one of the participants.
(Well, I guess more than a flicker would be needed because of UPS, though sometimes things glitch in the switchover.)

4:37 PM
@MonicaCellio If I recall we had @Green also recording the feeds from vsee, which records both audio and video as a backup

5:13 PM
@James That's true. I do record the VSee feeds in case Nex's feed goes crazy or he drops.
My capture grabs video and audio.

5:51 PM
@Green good, thanks. We hope we don't need it, but it would be a pain if we did and didn't have it. Like any other backup. :-)
