Btw, I'm sure you're interested in this @Raphael (hmm, ping seems dead, ah well): By participating in the new Quantum Computating site, I've learned 2 things: 1) There are a few Physicists that think they 'know CS', but don't and for some reason a random Master student (=me) has to correct them.
But also 2) which is the fun part: CS.SE IS WAY TOO BROAD
I mean, it is more common than not that there are questions that people think: "oh, nice question, I know nothing about this subfield". Or "Oh nice answer, I know nothing about this to be certain it is correct". This partially answers the reason for few votes. In hindsight, we should have something on the 'research group' scale instead of the 'department scale'. Perhaps I should suggest some niche subfield on Area51.
