@WanderingLogic I tried to propose something to alleviate the situation, but I overlooked some issues and it was shot down pretty hard.
@Gilles Is AI really "in" CS everywhere? I know that there's not a single mandatory class about stochastics, statistics, let alone AI in the the bachelor's course of my department.
We do have research institute focused on AI (besides earning money), and you can take an AI elective. But the basic skills are not taught in the CS curriculum. Sadly.

an idea for the crosscutting problem. imagine a "view" of questions that are on different sites. and then tags across all different SE sites are displayed in this "view" site which functions a lot like a normal site. and every time someone asks a question on the site, maybe some mechanism is used to try to "route" it to one of the crosscutting sites. (either mod or user based mechanism.)
also, after analysis, maybe the question is "shot down" as not being accepted at all on any of the participating sites.

Q: How do you determine the number of errors in the Welch-Berlekamp algorithm?

JeremyKunIn the Welch-Berlekamp algorithm for decoding Reed-Solomon codes, one is given a list of points $(a_i, b_i)$ representing a message with $e$ errors on the $b_i$ in unknown locations (and $e$ is given to the algorithm). The output is a polynomial passing through all of the given points except thos...
