Hmm. I just discovered that one can't migrate a question to a beta site. That answers a question that has been on my radar for a while. As usual, I seem to be the last one to catch on to what everyone else knew. I wonder what the reason is.

@RickDecker that's not quite what the rules are. Non-moderators can only vote to migrate along predefined migration paths. For example, on Mathematics, non-mods can only vote to migrate to Physics or Cross Validated, not e.g. to Stack Overflow or [mathoverflow.net].
Furthermore, as a matter of general policy, migration paths are not created from or to beta sites. (There are a couple of exceptions.)
Moderators can migrate to any site. However, questions that are more than 60 days old cannot be migrated at all, even by moderators.

@Juho @WanderingLogic Can we clean these up?

@Gilles: stupid question.
How do I delete?
in the review queue, but I didn't have a delete option.
Now that you deleted it I have an undelete option.

@WanderingLogic you only get a big delete button as one of the review options in the low quality queue
You get a little delete button below the answer in the question page, in the first posts and in late answers queue, if the answer's score was <0 when you loaded it (if you want to vote to delete and the score is 0, first downvote, then reload, then vote to delete).
This is with 4k rep only. Lower-rep users get “recommend deletion” in the VLQ queue and no delete button elsewhere.
Generally, if you think an answer should be deleted because it's content-free, flag is as VLQ.
(Spam/offensive have their own flags, and use the not-an-answer flag for things that should have been comments or edits to the question)

@Gilles Ah, I see.
@Gilles I also missed the "not an answer" flag option.
@Gilles but I was trying to avoid flagging so as to try to better make us a "self-moderating community".
In the unlikely event that we should graduate some time, we currently only have 7 users with 10k rep, (2 of whom are already mods), and another 4 of us with 9k rep (so perhaps likely to be 10k by the time we graduate.)
I meant "should graduate some time soon". I know we'll graduate eventually.

@WanderingLogic VLQ flags go to the VLQ queue, which need not involve mods
There's no delete queue, or if you prefer the VLQ queue is the only delete queue. So if you think an answer needs to be deleted, you need to flag it (the flag reason depends on why it should be deleted).

I guess I'm trying to understand this:

@Juho Thanks!

No problem! :-)

When I'm in the review queue and click on the "Tools" tab I see some Delete Votes
I think they must be coming from answers that were downvoted, then the little delete button might appear and someone pressed it.

Q: What's the equivalent 'nth_element' function in Java?

FrostI don't want get a sorted array, just nth element's value. For example, given the array a = [20, 5, 1, -3] I'd like to be able to query nth_element(a,2) = 1 In C++, there is a function std::nth_element that can do this. Is there an equivalent Java function? Thanks!

:(
