So I'm currently learning OpenGL right now.
I have a practice program where I can just screw around, and I had the following array declared:
GLfloat vertices[] = {
    0.5f,  0.5f, 0.0f,
    0.5f, -0.5f, 0.0f,
    -0.5f, -0.5f, 0.0f
    -0.5f,  0.5f, 0.0f
};
The vertices here a simply just positions to render a quad, nothing special.
However, I made a little mistake, and the quad was not being rendered properly because of said mistake.
If we look at the end of the third row of vertex coordinates in the vertices[] array, you may see a problem:
-0.5f, -0.5f, 0.0f
I forgot a comma, which meant that C++ was silently converting the 9th element to -0.5f, which in turn screwed up everything related to rendering the quad.
