@Firelord Hi. Re: closing of this question. I see at as OP asking two things 1. Can my mail ID be changed without losing associated content 2. Can I use an alias on Android (probably they don't know the term or that it is only possible from Gmail web). Both aspects have been covered in my answer. I feel that this isn't off-topic, when both links in answer aren't off - topic but I could be missing something?

Improved title to make it more specific

@beeshyams As it stands I find the question still Android independent. OP has not shown us that their problem is specific to Android. I mean no matter how you rephrase the question, writing an email address onto a resume so that the recipient of that resume can read the printed email and contact OP on that doesn't seem Android specific to me. :-)
As for your answer, the first links to a question which is also Android-independent (I'm gonna leave it for others to vote upon it).
The second link in the answer is good, but OP has not shown us that this is what they are asking for.
If they clarify the question can be rephrased to make it Android specific.
Oh, I didn't get your ping btw. Strange.
OP's question would probably be on-topic on Web Applications

@Firelord usually, I delete answers to closed questions. In this case, I won't because, I differ.// OP hasn't phrased it well but the intention to use alias is evident in the first portion of question//Of course, he can ask on web apps if they don't know such a feature exists on Gmail web

@beeshyams Hmm, maybe I'm overlooking something when reading the first portion of the question. Unless OP clarifies further I'll continue to see the question as A-I. However, feel free to cast a reopen vote. If enough users or a mod agrees to reopen I'd be fine with that. :)

@Firelord I think I can salvage it but refraining because I answered. Instead, left a comment linking to chat

@beeshyams as current writing, I have to agree with Firelord that the question doesn't mention anything related to Android usage.

@AndrewT let's see if OP cares to revise. Not being adamant for the sake of it but I differ
It's quite possible that I am missing the points made by both of you, so let's drop the discussion on this. Since the answer was posted prior to closure, it stays as far as I am concerned. It may help someone
