OK but what then do you all think about this new /e/ phone that's coming out? I thought the dude was coming out with a contender to the Librem 5, which it still is, but if it's going to be based on /e/, then it's still also, in its own way, going to be based off of Android.
The only benefit to this phone that I can think of is a greater support than what that other Android derivative lacks in. The limit, however, may be the same as LOS or they might decide for themselves to only support their own build---which I think is the idea.

@ThatRandomGuy I've just recently read that /e/ picks a lot of blobs, i.e. not all (not even as much as possible) is compiled from source, but they e.g. simply pick some APKs and put them in. I didn't dig deeper to confirm or deny, so this is hear-say.
