@MassimoOrtolano I hope to find some food which can effectively stave off hunger but doesn't take much hassle to get, like not needing to cook, cut, peel, grease or stain hands, and doesn't cost too much money. I have often tried various dry foods to see their functions of staving off hunger, finding most of them don't work well. Peanut distinguishes but they would grease hands, so is not an ideal choice. I want to read or study while staving off hunger, so don't want my hands greasy.

Also, I want food which can keep me hunger-free for long. Candies can stave off hunger but just for several minutes. So if I eat candies to stave off hunger, I need to eat every several minutes; that's bothering.

@CaptainBohemian There isn't any physiological reason for a healthy person to need to eat between meals. Eat meals containing fats, proteins, and fiber, which take longer to digest than carbohydrates, and don't worry about snacking. If you are used to snacking, though, you'll likely feel hunger. You have to get in the habit of not snacking to break this

@BryanKrause I don't eat three meals at fixed times. I usually eat only 1 real meal a day and complement it with other trivial food to stave off hunger. I know I won't need those trivial foods if I eat 2 to 3 real meals a day, but I find it costs too much time to get so many meals. I would only have so many meals in places or occasions food is easily accessible.

@CaptainBohemian It's quite possible to prepare meals ahead of time (that is, prepare greater than 1 portion so you have something to eat later). You can choose to snack instead, like you are doing, but be wary of unnecessarily narrowing your options by discounting an obvious one.
