Is "what does this obscure word I can't find in a dictionary mean?" an appropriate question for this site? Or is there another site where it would be better?
It feels like an awkward fit for ELL because I'm a native English speaker, the word is just very obscure. But I don't know where would be better.
Hi Dears, previously I asked a question, which I have deleted now, that wasn't providing the requirements for someone to answer. As I am a basic learner of English, I find a lot of difficulties in understanding things. I was asked to provide a reference to my question and uploaded a photo which was then objected, so I deleted that post. Is there any simple way to re-ask the same question?
Bit of bad luck there, as you accidentally ran into two problems in a row. Your question is fine, but David's right that you should have edited in the relevant text, rather than pasting an image of it. I have typed out the one section I think is relevant, and removed the image.
If you want to open it again, it's a good question now, but like I said in the comments last week, it's unlikely anybody will be able to answer it. It looks like a printing mistake.
