T2E 1) a ten years old boy is sitting on the couch. 2) a ten year old boy is sitting on the couch. 3) a ten-years old boy is sitting on the couch. 4) a ten-year old boy is sitting on the couch. Which is correct?

chosterGenerally, when units of measure are used as adjectives, or as part of a compound noun, they are singular. When expressed as simple nouns, they are plural. Thus, A ten-year-old boy is sitting on the couch. The boy sitting on the couch is ten years old. The boy sitting on the couch is a ten-year-...

So when I am talking about Stack Exchange chatrooms - which are frozen after 14 days of silence - the phrase "14-day limit" would be correct and "14-days limit" would be incorrect, right?
Search in chat: "14 day limit" vs. "14 days limit.
Search on SE: "14 day limit" vs. "14 days limit".

I guess it's quite natural to be cautious about asking a question on any SE site.
And in this case, I suppose there are countless duplicates - but not that easy to find for somebody who isn't sufficiently familiar with the site (and the topic).
