@EddieKal I wanted to create a synonym for new-users tag in Meta. I have actually created a new tag called new-contributors in one of my latest questions, which I know will likely be removed by some moderator or someone else. It actually fits better as a synonym of new-user. And since I do not have 25K rep, hence was asking for someone else to do it. Also I wanted feedback regarding this new thought of mine.

Q: Why are these questions highlighted?

Why are the following questions highlighted? Is this a new update? I've never seen it before. Only two of the questions are highlighted. Links: Why does "elite" rhyme with "beet" rather than "bite"? Why is "iron" pronounced "EYE-URN" but not "EYE-RUN"?

Q: What is the reputation limit upto which an user has the "new contributor" tag under their name?

Today I saw a question which had one answer. The answerer/user/contributor has 816 reputation points. However, the New Contributor is still visible under his name. How is this working? I mean some people start of their journey with 1 reputation point and make their way up. The New Contributor lo...
