Q: What does "became hot network question" mean?

SphinxWhile checking my question's history (for the first time as I remember), I clicked the tiny clock like symbol beside the vote signs on my question and saw 16 hours ago history became hot network question I don't understand what that means. Then I went around checking some other questions, most...

@NewMetaQuestion I believe it is because your question was highly visited and highly upvoted by several many users here. Also time plays an important role. I literally saw there were 1K views yesterday which rose to a whopping 5K+ views today. That means your question was highly acknowledged by people, making it a hot question.

@EddieKal Hello there. Firstly I mean no offense while I say the following. You commented on this post saying that many of their question was not well-received. I get it that this question was pretty awful, however I feel it is not right to judge people by the number of votes they get on their question. But that certainly doesn't mean we should ignore poor quality posts and not take action on it.

@DhanishthaGhosh I am talking in general terms. It is rare for a user who has posted 29 posts here to stay in the lower 2 digit rep range

Most of my questions aren't well received either. Does that make me a bad user or someone who doesn't deserve to be here? Again, I mean no offense saying this. You are a moderator, you certainly know what you are doing. More than anyone else.

I don't mean they were poorly received. They were not warmly received either.
I understand you feel the general need for ELL to be more welcoming to new users, which I totally support
I have been an unpopular champion of that for a long time.
I am going to rephrase that comment and tone it down a bit as you suggest
@DhanishthaGhosh Done. How's it now?

@EddieKal The edit options remain open for only five minutes after you comment? How did you edit it then? Special moderation rights? It looks better now. Thank you so much!

@DhanishthaGhosh That's called mod power...
Thank you for making the suggestion!

@EddieKal XD True!

Please don't hesitate to bring these things up. I will never be offended by constructive suggestions and contributions.

@EddieKal Thank you. That's very reassuring.
