To write what I feel like you (in English) is one my biggest dreams. @CowperKettle
I am back to English learning journey after a while.
I started this time by reading books.
I like hiking and I chose AWOL on Appalachian Trail as the first book.

@CowperKettle He pretends to be Grammar Man, but he's actually Peeve Man.

Any true grammar hero would know that the first example is grammatical but non-standard, while the second and third examples are simply grammatical.

He's the hero prescriptivists deserve, but not the one they need right now.

@It'saboutEnglish The only real threads on SE are those made up of comments, and when they grow in size they're promptly (and, without exception, unjustly) destroyed. Questions and answers aren't supposed to, and don't normally follow a thread or timeline since they are designed as standalone units, so it doesn't make sense to call your questions and accompanying answers as constituting a thread – that term is normally reserved for more conventional forum discussions.
But yeah, I like your question, as always. Your question becomes eligible for a bounty two days after it's posted, so you can always do that (place a bounty on it) if it doesn't receive enough attention.
(A bit of a clumsy construction there, called ... as constituting ..., because I rephrased the sentence but forgot to adjust everything.)

Btw, an interesting article I read recently (not for scaredy-cats, though, ha): nytimes.com/2019/04/25/magazine/australia-cat-killing.html. Laters.
