@JasperLoy I admire the French President for his fidelity.

> Whence they appear, and where they briskly go,
Ask not the wind, for wind could never catch them,
And if its gusts in speed could ever match them,
They’d never tell, and you would never know
..
> Do not believe, whoever tells you so,
That it’s themselves they’re running from, their struggles;
A mighty stream a-flight in foam and bubbles
Itself will stay, despite its constant flow.
Please help me write correctly:
Only a photo of you|yourself can be set as main.
You can upload any images regarding you|yourself and games, for example...
I think 'you' in the 1st and 'yourself' in the 2nd.

I think so too.

Q: "take the form of direct attacks" VS "take the form of direct attack"

Mike PhilipThis sentence comes from a GRE prep course: As the creation of new knowledge through science has become institutionalized, resistance to innovation has become less aggreesive, taking the form of inertia rather than direct attack. Since there would be many attacks from all around inno...

I'm assuming that you're giving instructions for what is permissible, so I think "may" is a better choice than can, but it's sort of a style choice

A: Grammar of 'what would I do'.? Is it grammatical?

CowperKettleIt's perfectly grammatical. The word would is used here in a conditional sense. I would travel to China to learn Chinese. Why would I do that? - To learn Chinese.

Am I very wrong here?
I haven't answered a question in a long while and have forgotten the grammar.

@CowperKettle I didn’t think so, but I’m not much use when it comes to grammar
I don’t know why the question was deleted by the author
@CowperKettle I undeleted the question, because I think it's useful. I don't think you were wrong. Maybe the downvote was just from someone who wanted a citation or something more official seeming rules about the grammar.

@ColleenV Ah! Good! Thank you for alleviating my fears ))
From our bicycle ride a couple of days back ))
This is in the town of Degtyarsk (Дегтярск)
A water-filled quarry
There are lots of such quarries in the Urals
@CowperKettle I may be wrong about it being a conditional though - I found this: thefreedictionary.com/Modal-Auxiliary-Verbs-Would.htm and it seems to explain it as some form of politeness
Nice picture - it looks very peaceful with the water so still it reflects the clouds
@ColleenV Yes, for some chemical reason the water has a nice color in this particular quarry
And this is from my morning jog today
We went out to look at the house we are going to buy with the inspector today. It is probably the only good thing that came from hurricane Florence - the heavy rain from the edges of the storm showed us a drainage problem we will need to fix. It's not too serious now, but it could cause big problems left untended.
My husband is very excited about having a big workshop (me too even though the house needs some work because if he has a workshop, he can build me stuff :))
@ColleenV Beautiful house and green scenery!
Far from busy streets
I love being in a smaller city near the mountains
18:26
Did you climb the mountains?
Austin was too urban
How high are they?
I climbed Konzhakovsky Kamen, it's only about 1500 meters high
Small, but enough to see some clouds below you
No, but when I was little I lived in West Virginia, so I like looking at them :)
They are part of the Appalachians
We moved to Roanoke Virginia, which is in a valley surrounded by mountains and foot hills
18:28
Mount Mitchell: 2000 meters, that's higher than any mountain in the Urals
I grew up in Noyabrsk, where there were only taiga and numberless lakes and bogs.
No mountains.
my husband laughs at me but I can’t help but admire the view in the morning when there is mist hanging around the peaks
It must be a great view
This is from the slope of Konzhakovsky Kamen, in December
Horrible eye-cutting wind, hence the ski masks
It was impossible to take them off for a second
That is a nice view, but it looks like something I would rather see from inside a cabin next to a fire
Brrr!

A way post helping hikers not to lose the path
A couple of hikers died in January last year, I heard
Froze to death
But with careful planning it's all fine, and with good GPS equipment ))
And making sure the weather is going to have a good chance of staying mild
I’m looking forward to a little hiking in the fall when the leaves change, but no real climbing
We drove on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and there are some beautiful vistas
