I think it's probably debatable here whether "model" is an adj. or just a noun used as a modifier - though I think of it as an adj. Either way, it's an established usage of the word "model" and perfectly correct. — rjpond 2 days ago

If we're going to draw a distinction between whether it's a noun or an adjective, it has to have some practical implication, some sort of prediction we can make based on that which is either true or false.

Is there any practical difference between those two options in this case that would let us tell the difference?

If we have a larger Institute and a smaller Institute that constitutes a part of it, may we call it subsidiary? Or would it be better to call it branch?
Will division be okay?
I found this example:
> Scientific-Research Institute of Agriculture and Ecology of the Arctic - Division of Federal Research Center “Krasnoyarsk Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of the RAS (with division)

> Technology-related, anthropogenic and climatic factors have an ever stronger negative effect on the Arctic environment with each passing year, which inevitably affects both the numbers and the health of reindeer populations. (which is better have or are having?)

Better "produce"...
Subsidiary
I haven't said anything in this room for a while. =)
That's a bit weird. I came several time but didn't see you.
Times
Yeah, I wasn't in this room most of the time.
Found another one?
Nope. =)

Then welcome back.
Hope you are OK
I see that you have 11,600 on Russian SE. =)

A friend of mine really likes Russian, so maybe I should learn Russian too, lol.
Yes, Have you seen my answers?
Well, I don't know any Russian, but yeah I took a look at your account.
Are most of the users there learners of Russian?
10:30
We answer in English most of the time.
Yeah, if the question is posed in English, the asker is probably a learner.
Most of the users are native speakers.
Oh, that's surprising, lol.
Those who ask are learners
So if you say most of the users are native speakers, that means that there are many answerers but few askers? lol
That's a good thing. Then one will get answers very easily, lol.
10:37
You can have a try, but it's a difficult language.
Yeah, as difficult as Chinese, which I also speak, lol.
No, less difficult.
This table lists various languages and how hard it is for an English speaker to learn them.

@CowperKettle "Factors have an ever stronger effect with each passing year." I don't know how to explain exactly why, but "with each passing year" makes me want to use "have". "Factors are having a stronger effect every year" might be OK, but I'd rather say "The negative effect due to factors is increasing every year."

@ColleenV Thank you!

I wonder how to put it in other words
received financial support, probably

> The volume of the obtained ejaculate samples ranged from 0.28 to 0.90 mL, with sperm concentration ranging from 0.28 to 1.1 billion per mL and cell motility ranging from 40 to 85 % (before freezing) and from 0 to 45 % (after freezing). 11.5 ± 1.24% of the observed spermatozoa had acrosomal damage and 6.8 ± 1.11% of them had tail and neck damage. The following acrosomal changes could be observed: swelling (loosening), wrinkling or the absence of an acrosome. (Shouldn't is be an?)

@CowperKettle "sponsored" is an alternative.
This research was sponsored by the Russian Science Foundation.
@CowperKettle I think the article choice could go either way, but I prefer "the" because it seems like a very specific lack of something. "It felt like an absence of oxygen, but it was just nerves." "I looked at the results of the analysis and noted the absence of nitrogen."

Thank you Colleen!

@V.V. Do you think the book 'A comprehensive Russian grammar' by Terence Wade is the best Russian grammar there is?
