Having not worked in a school since July 2016 I missed the start of fidget spinners craze but, after entering the world of supply teaching, I’m pretty much caught up what does caught up mean in this sentence?

@EngFan We use "caught up" if there's something we've missed and spent some time doing to be at the same state as most other people. For example, "I missed school last week because I was ill, so I spent all of my evenings getting caught up on my homework."
If we talk about TV series, "caught up" means "you have watched all the episodes up to the most recent one".
"I'm pretty much caught up" means "I didn't have the same knowledge as everyone else for a while, but I do now."

@parvin Did you perhaps mean to say "proficient" instead of "precise"?
@parvin A general way of saying this would be to master something.
There are other ways of saying it, however (from https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/thesaurus/master): learn thoroughly, become proficient in, know inside out, know backwards, become expert in, acquire, pick up, grasp, understand
informal get the hang of, get clued up about, get off by heart
On top of that, you should be able to express this by using simpler words, such as become knowledgeable about, become expert in, etc.
I had such a good question, but I forgot it.
