@CowperKettle I was thinking to something like above, but I couldn't come up with an idiomatic adjective, but featured.

Q: If there is more than one right answer can I summarize the answers?

VinodIf there is more than one right answer to a question can I accept one and summarize the answers under the question description with an edit note ? For example the question I asked here got more than one right answers, Its not technically possible for me to accept all. I have up voted all the ri...

@snailplane Seconded.
@CowperKettle What is the meaning of the Russian word used where the English version has shy?

@Lawrence I reinvented that portion of the song. The original says "The day has passed as if it did not happen at all. We failed to talk".
It's hard to literally carry this Russian sentence into English without wrecking the regretful mood, thus I tried to reinvent it from scratch

@CowperKettle Capturing mood in another language is a lot of fun! Melancholy fun in this case, but still ... :)
@CowperKettle The English idiom ships in the night might carry some of that sense of regret.

Sometimes a lantern moves along the night,
That interests our eyes. And who goes there?
I think; where from and bound, I wonder, where,
With, all down darkness wide, his wading light?

Men go by me whom either beauty bright
In mould or mind or what not else makes rare:
They rain against our much-thick and marsh air
Rich beams, till death or distance buys them quite.

@CowperKettle That's certainly melancholic. Is it your own composition?

@Lawrence No, I'm not a genius. This is by GM Hopkins, probably one of the top-5 English poets ever
