Yes, this room is a rare word refugium for now.
Maybe some new user may kiss it better.

A: What is the correct verb that follows "as well as?"

F.E. Which of the following sentences is correct? He as well as they are in the wrong. He as well as they is in the wrong. Sometimes the expression "as well as" behaves like the coordinator and, and sometimes it doesn't. In your example(s)--and because delimiting commas aren't used-...

Both options are probably okay, but my ear likes plural agreement better.

Hi @snailplane . I wonder if you could help here. This trolling post needs flagging for a mod over on Academia.edu:

A: My supervisor doesn't believe in depression

ThatguyI think you're missing the point here: You are the problem itself. Why are you doing college? You say you have problems which trouble you, but now others have to put up with it. Let me say it in a polite way: People are usually polite with the weak, but eventually you'll find out you're just pis...

I added my flag
Well, I don't know what to flag that as.
Maybe it's a bad answer, but I don't know whether I would call it a trolling post or not.

@snailplane Thanks, old bean :)
When did a plane become a bean? =D
@Jasper Well, the poster decided that the professor was a male, even though it was specified that she was a woman. It said that the OP was TAKING THE PISS or something similar. It said that doing a degree when ill was selfish. It rellished in the fact that OP was having a terrible experience while ill and added that he would like to take HIM (the prof concerned) for a nice cold beer for being agree with OP. Excuse my French but why don't you feel that's trolling?
@Jasper Ever since they've bean legumes ;)
@Jasper "being agree" --> erm, oops, 'being angry'
@Araucaria Oh yeah, I was wondering about that part, lol.
@Jasper Coherence not my strong point!
@Jasper You what? Is that a real word?!
Wow, it is. I'm going to use that tomorrow ...
@Araucaria Yes, but it is very rare. It does appear in collinsdictionary.com for example.
21:49
@Jasper Yes. Thanks! I'm going to have to practice pronouncing it though ...

Do you know how to pronounce Cthulhu? Really? I frequently shake my head when I hear it on popular media, tv, youtube, all say variations on k-fool-hoo or k-foo-loo or even the older koo-fool-hoo and all are wrong. — Smartybartfast yesterday

Wait, people pronounce it with /f/? I've never heard that before.
