Q: Is it permitted to wear long trousers in football?

Sports Fan We can see the football players wearing half trousers all over the world during playing. Is it allowed for a football player(including goal-keeper)to wear long trousers(full pants) in international football matches? Half trousers are more comfortable for them but, what is the rules of foo...

Q: what happens if the result of match was found wrong after the match day

NetStarterConsider a situation where TEAM-A and TEAM-B are playing a cricket match, TEAM-A scored some odd runs (lets assume 250 runs). TEAM-B is chasing the score,while chasing they require 2 runs from a ball. Bowler bowls the ball Umpire somehow declare it as a NO ball and batsmen is able to take only ...

@phwd thanks for letting us know. i'm not a hockey guy, so i'll pass...

user46190

@edmastermind29 the Jets really killed his career, what little prospects he had are pretty much gone now.

user46190
@waxeagle and it's sad...it really is.

user46190
@waxeagle i said at the end of last season he'll probably end up as a Patriot...but there are other landing spots...the Chargers being possible....but all a very low possibility. I can see the same happening to Geno Smith....Sanchez is screwed because if he is released, I don't know a team that will pick him up.

1:40 PM
@edmastermind29 Sanchez has a better market than Tebow though, at lease Sanchez is proven to some degree, he could go somewhere like Miami, Jacksonville or Buffalo where they don't have an in place starter and start week 1. Tebow on the other hand needs somewhere with a system designed for his skill set. Maybe Philly?

user46190
@waxeagle Sanchez could run pro style...and has won four road playoff games (which i believe is more than Peyton Manning). Philly picked up Matt Barkley...which escaped me...but that's an intriguing option.

@edmastermind29 they hired oregon's coach to come in and run an uptempo college style (possibly read option?) offense. Tebow might fit in with someone running that scheme. Barkley certainly does

user46190
@waxeagle I thought Barkley was a pro-style guy. LeSean McCoy compares Chip Kelly's uptempo offense to a track meet. I think if Tebow remains in the NFL, he needs to move to running back or tight end.

@edmastermind29 definitely agree with that. his body type is much more suited to it. not sure how well he catches passes though

user46190
@waxeagle true. not even his work ethic could overcome his throwing motion. nonetheless, use him as a 3DRB or red zone guy.

user46190
1:49 PM
@waxeagle Tebow is not an every down back.

@edmastermind29 definitely not
@edmastermind29 and wild cat sets, nothing wrong with reminding folks he is a dual threat every once in a while, just to make them prepare for more stuff

user46190
@waxeagle true. the spread offense has more shelf life than the wildcat cause the wildcat was one dimensional....but as you say, does change things up every so often. Watching the 2011 Broncos offense was a disaster...the 2012 offense was like art.

@edmastermind29 well yeah, you give PM 10 scrubs and he will make them look like all-pros :P

user46190
@waxeagle that team is freaking stacked on offense...and made good draft moves...cant wait for this season.

@edmastermind29 yeah, getting Welker is a huge coup
running corps look amazing too

user46190
1:59 PM
@waxeagle might be enough to steal some mojo from the Pats. and if Gronk can't stop getting injured...then they're nothing.

@edmastermind29 yeah, he's been bitten badly. and all freak stuff too

user46190
@waxeagle Montee Ball from wisconsin was a great pickup. And with McGahee, Moreno, Hillman, and Lance Ball....they have depth.

@edmastermind29 yeah my assessment of amzing was mostly based on McGahee, montee Ball and Moreno

user46190
@waxeagle let the guy party, not his fault...but you're right, freak accidents. I feel bad for the guy, because he has a legendary career in front of him even if he plays 10 games a season.

user46190
@waxeagle agreed. i see the other two getting cut before the preseason ends.

2:02 PM
@edmastermind29 yeah, a lot of that is due to NE's innovation with the tight end. but a lot of that is having the right guys and they have two of the best

user46190
@waxeagle Baltimore also drafted two tight ends that draft class...and I betcha if they were Patriots, then we wouldn't know who Gronk or Hernandez is. NE's innovation with the TE is loosely based on Chip Kelly's offense, so i can see Philly going nuts with 2 TEs.

@edmastermind29 yep should be interesting to see what happens there. what can Chip do with a rosterful of NFL players :)

user46190
@waxeagle hope he's not a bust...we've seen other college coaches be NFL busts before.

@edmastermind29 cough saban cough

user46190
@waxeagle spurrier of the moment much>?

2:08 PM
looks like the experts were uninspired by the Cowboys draft...can we have a GM now?

user46190
@waxeagle what did the 1st round draft pick do for yall? nothing

no cap space and bad drafting means Jerry misses the playoffs again...

user46190
@waxeagle last in division maybe?

@edmastermind29 can't count philly out there
and not sure when RG3 comes back for Washington

user46190
@waxeagle I'm not, but i see the skins (with a healthy RG3) and giants being 9-7 at least.

2:15 PM
@edmastermind29 yeah I'd say that's about right, Cowboys will go 7-9, just enough to save Garret's job again. Philly is a wild card because we don't know who their QB is or what their offense will look like. They could be 10-6 or 4-12

user46190
@waxeagle why is Jason Garrett still coach? and exactly about Philly...

@edmastermind29 he's made or just missed the playoffs ever year and Jerry can't get Cowher out of retirement
2010 being the exception which is more on Jerry for no competent backup than on Jason

user46190
@waxeagle haha! and Tony Romo's contract? Don't get me wrong, Tony Romo is a good qb....but for that contract at his age with his credentials? Blasphemy.

@edmastermind29 QB contracts are silly, that's all there is to it and that contract is about restructuring for cap space. it's a lot of garunteed money, but Jerry will eat that if he doesn't perform

user46190
@waxeagle the PM contract is about as honest as you'll ever get from anyone contractually...but was there a doubt that he wouldn't perform? just be glad he doesn't get paid for his playoff performances.

user46190
2:21 PM
@waxeagle exactly. don't get me started about Joe Flacco.

@edmastermind29 lol too true
@edmastermind29 that's just...but the playoffs and superbowl kind of tied Ozzie's hands

user46190

@edmastermind29 lol yeah, I saw that (grew up in Raven's country have lots of ravens fan fb friends)

user46190
@waxeagle out of the final four teams last year in the playoffs...i was all for Baltimore or Atlanta. It was kinda sweet to see Ray Lewis finish on top. Gives me hope for the Broncos...in that the last legendary QB for that team won his two super bowls the last two seasons of his career. Maybe that will happen to Peyton also ha.

@edmastermind29 with the money they are spending and pieces they are putting around him, he should have as good a chance as he ever has had

user46190
2:28 PM
@waxeagle and he has a defense...the only time he won a SB in Indy was because his defense showed up.

@edmastermind29 yep.

1 hour later…
3:46 PM
@waxeagle No way 7-9 saves Garrett's job. 8-8 is pushing it. Even 9-7 is a close shave if it doesn't come with a playoff berth
@waxeagle A smart center is invaluable if the Cowboys are planning to go no-huddle. If not, yeah, that was kind of a waste.

@mmyers I think the bigger question is what record saves Jerry's job :). But yeah I guess it's time to be impatient with Garrett...But it's hard to see what the other optinos are...forgot Reid's already hired...
prominent cubs bloger: "The Jets have reportedly released Tim Tebow. If the Cubs really want to distract fans from any losing over the next few months, they will sign Tebow immediately."
wonder if he can play right field...

Probably has a decent fastball at least

@mmyers well if he can throw strikes in the 9th we need him...
or maybe get guys out in the late innings (cubs starts have been oddly solid this year)

Wait, you're a Cowboys and Cubs fan? Have you considered also adopting the Brooklyn Nets?

4:01 PM
@mmyers nah, I typically root for the Mavs in basketball, though I mostly keep track of the heat at this point...because history...

But the Mavs win sometimes

@mmyers even a championship...and fairly recently

In other news, I read this yesterday:
Mike is a novel by P. G. Wodehouse, first published on 15 September 1909 by Adam & Charles Black, London. The story first appeared in the magazine The Captain, in two separate parts, collected together in the original version of the book; the first part, originally called Jackson Junior, was republished in 1953 under the title Mike at Wrykyn, while the second half, called The Lost Lambs in its serialised version, was released as Enter Psmith in 1935 and then as Mike and Psmith in 1953 – this marks the first appearance of the popular character of Psmith. Plot introduction The first half ...
So I am now a cricket expert

@mmyers Wodehouse taught me everything I hope to know about golf. ;-)

I've only read one Oldest Member story but hope to read more
