A: Sandbox for Proposed Challenges

BubblerNash equilibrium of 2-player 3-choice zero-sum game code-golf game-theory Background In a 2-player single finite game, a Nash equilibrium (NE) is a pair of strategies chosen by both players where neither has an incentive to deviate from their own strategy. For example, here is a payoff matrix o...

Jono 2906code-golf Even and Odd Numbers Adapted from exercise 4 of 100 little Keg exercises The ability to repeat chunks of code within a program is an important part of any programming language. Also just as important is the ability to make decisions based on different values. The Challenge I want ...

Q: Shortest functional Blackjack Game

DudeWhoWantsToLearnThis is kept fairly simple: Write a program that creates a blackjack game, where the input "h" means "hit", "s" means "stand" and everything else outputs "Error" without stopping the game, but rather waiting for the right input. Rules: - The cards you get displayed are standard-cards (2-10, J...

KeizerHarmTraverse the Bridges of Köningsberg The Seven Bridges of Köningsberg is a logical problem that singlehandedly kicked off the entire field of topology. The city of Köningsberg was bisected by a river, with two islands in it. Thus the city spanned four landmasses. Connecting those were seven bridg...

DudeWhoWantsToLearnBlackjack This is kept fairly simple, compared to a real Blackjack-Game: Write a program that creates a blackjack game, where the input "h" means "hit" and "s" means "stand". DudeWhoWantsToLearnAsyncronous Breakfast I haven't seen any asyncronous challenges here, even tho it's an important part of coding, so here's my idea, based on an example (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/csharp/programming-guide/concepts/async/) that explains asyncronous coding: You are making breakfast. ...

Q: Compare Dowker Knotation

Wheat WizardDowker notation is a common way of representing mathematical knots. Dowker notation can be derived from a knot diagram in the following way (based on the description from the wikipedium): We will label each of the \$n\$ intersections with two numbers whose absolute value is on the range \$1,...

Ugh, goal setting sucks
"I will personally end world hunger and reduce e-waste by 3%"

do you have to set a goal for something?

Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
I also dislike setting work goals. Never seem to come to fruition.

next world cup isnt until 2022 :p

Generic work goals so The Man(tm) can see if I'm a busy little bee
I'm also truant on setting them so maybe that can be a goal :^)

My goal: to set realistic, achievable goals on time

8:36 PM
My goal: accomplish my goals
(This is my only goal)

My goal: to fail to accomplish this goal
If your goal is a paradox, what does that mean for your employment

I always have a hard time coming up with goals because the enjoyment I get out of work is: learn stuff, solve problems, do cool things, make money.

If only the last weren't necessary, the first 3 would be drastically increased

@Adám I think Martin was one of the hosts, and I remember seeing an invite. I still have the email, the information was Sept - Oct, 2016
(With the intention of having the conference the next year)

Did it ever happen? A whole conference just for code golf‽

They might not have gotten enough people signed up, but I wasn't planning to go, so I don't remember. It was going to be an Esolangs conference.
Martin would be the person to ask
The group doesn't exist anymore, but the organizer URL was groups.google.com/d/msgid/cnfrnc-organize/… (the group won't be found)
