@Trevoke If you're not getting an answer you want, it's likely that we don't have an expert in Isshin-ryu present to help or there is not enough support to confirm the answer as relevant. This is a common problem (and a reason I've deleted some of my own questions).
@Trevoke Most theories also point to dance predating codified fighting systems; these fighting systems being derived from and taught through dances (being a method of helping the performer learn the movements).
On top of all this, it's not that the question can't be asked, you just need to better demonstrate that the question ties in to martial arts directly... Narrow the question and make it clear how the question relates to martial arts directly.

@stslavik Exactly. That is what I have been saying all along.

I have just explained that being properly relaxed in standing practice is paramount to more efficient usage of the body, and people keep telling me that it's not related to martial arts. I don't get it. If it's not related to martial arts, why do martial arts do it?

@Trevoke then reword the question to use your proposed explanation and petition the community to reopen. Youve gotten the answers to why it was closed. I dont personally feel that your explanation digs you out of that hole except to put you in another, and I think we're beating a dead horse here. I'm proposing status-closed.
