Ello :)
So... The short version. After stagnating I finally started on something for StackApps
It's basically called Stack Central. A Windows desktop app that brings all your interaction with SE to your Desktop
I want to try and do a release often / early thing, but also want to do some limited beta testing
So I was wondering if I can add it to Stack Apps, and have people mail me if they want to be part of the test group
And obviously as it goes through all the stages of release also promote it
Or should I wait till I have it finished?
Initially it will be a glorified message inbox while I get the framework stable
But as time goes on I want to do some really interesting stuff around you and your account.
You can post it sure, but the [app] tag should be reserved for things anyone can use.

Q: How to list your application/library/wrapper here

Jeff AtwoodIf you've created an application or library/wrapper using the Stack Exchange API, that's fantastic! Now create a question tagged [app] or [library] to let the world know about it. All questions tagged [app] or [library] should follow this rough template. Just copy and paste it into your questio...

Ok. fair enough. So I can create an app like template post, but not add the app tag until users can actually download, but use it to get people to test etc?
Of course, the iphone app was posted well before it was released. Hrm.
Cool :) I am hoping to have something ready for testing by end of next week. I am loving working with the API, and keep having some ideas around it, but I want to wait till the app is out before discussing them, since I am also still finding my way around :)
Thanks so much for your time :)
Yeah, the iphone app definitely had the [app] tag before it was available to anyone.
Interesting. I am trying to be cautious in approaching this. I have never done something on this level, so I want to make sure I do it right and not offend anyone.

A: How to list your application/library/wrapper here

Edan Maor Remember, you should only publicize your app if it can actually be used! I'm working on an idea for an app. In true "customer development" fashion, I'd like to publish the idea, with a screenshot of what it will look like, to see what kind of reaction it gets and what features people wan...

Didn't get a lot of attention and I don't see that this user posted it as a separate question.

Do you think I should maybe post it as a question with a reference back to that answer?
Technically, it does just say "if it can actually be used", doesn't specify by whom
:)
Yep. Your definitely a woman. Only you would pick up on that :P
Thanks a bunch. I will take some time later on to post some questions and see where it goes :)
