ok... or a bona-fide job posting on a website somewhere would be good too.

No, this is a head-hunter thingy...
No public posting.... High-level 10+ years of experience and stuff.
You can introduce yourself or I can introduce you...
Which do you prefer?

10:26 PM
i'ld probably rather introduce directly. that way you don't have anything on the line if it doesn't go through.

I 'm dying for a smoke. Got 3 minutes!
I can vouch for you...

kk, i guess fire at will. i don't have the "professional experience" to be sure. part of that whole problem with doing it for fun/as a hobby for so long

I know you're a great guy!
Honld on.!
stop!

i don't want you to lose face if it doesn't work out, or they seem overly aggressive, or etc etc. sometimes i just don't like how things smell. i'll be around. take your smoke. i'm not running away.

this is NOT a hobby of yours... This is a VOCATION!
C U
With you?
losing face???
No problemo!
I've worked with this head-hunter (US-based) for over 10 years...
He uses my CV for international jobs on the US market...
Americans will always hire Americans if then can...
(which is the same everywhere around the world)
I think you're the perfect man for the job after I saw your presentation...
I'm the perfect generalist:
So the perfect manager/director
you're the perfect Guru...
well, 6-sigma anyway...
;-)
So whatever you want:
I can write him an email saying that I know this great guy...
I can forward you the e-mail sent to me...
I can just give you his e-mail address here and now...
whatever you're comfortable with...
(Or I can send you my full CV if that will make you more comfortable)
@hbdgaf U still there?
I'm a chemist and made my vocation my profession...
How about you???

10:36 PM
I hopped around for a second.

:P
tuck in those frog legs! ;-)
and sit down! :D

I'm playing with some stock market analysis stuff. It's my alternate approach to things. I'm trying to build something I can set to autopilot - then just do whatever it is I find interesting at the time. It's one of those, I'm horribly productive if I'm interested... but I can't force myself to be interested, sort of things.

:D
We're more alike then I thought!
How about going with the flow?
I'll give you the HH contact details

I'll send you the mail with the CV/resume thingamabob in the next few days. It will probably be over the weekend. I just have to find out what it is, what my risk is, and all that.
or just get his contact details.

Call him, say the magic word:

10:40 PM
I just don't want you to put any bacon on the line in case I back out. Lots of things that shouldn't seem sketchy to me.

just give the guy a ring, have a chat, drop the magic word and that I trust you and that I think you're the perfect man for the job...
I will not hold it against you if you back out...
Don't force yourself: go with the flow...
If the interest sprouts: go for it.
If it withers: back off...
(sorry, sometimes it gets hard to get my brain to remember the right word)

kk. had a recent thing where i thought someone worked somewhere, and i was talking about a position. then i started getting hard and fast pressure. then his experience with the company started dwindling when i started asking about the stack they used... so it started like a headhunter trying to get me to jump instead of a worker trying to get me to join the team.

Too many FFing languages...

that can frazzle anyone.

:D
This is a serious dude...
he's on linked in
you can look him up...
if you want my full CV, give me a dead letter box and I'll send it to you...

10:44 PM
yeah, i'll get up with him. my linkedin is just a placeholder. i know of a dozen fake ones. it's not a problem, just a thing. you don't have to. i'll give him a mail this weekend and ask to plan a call.

(I'm dumb: I always tell the truth because I can't remember what I lied to whom)

Hah. I just try to avoid the lying.

And just to prove to you that I'm real and that I think you should have a shot...
But it's your life...
you do whatever...
:P
Want my CV?

oh, i know i have a shot at many things. if you want, it's not a dead-box for mail, it's just one i use sometimes...

@hbdgaf If the truth can be used as a lie, that's the most potent lie of them all! :D

10:46 PM
removed

Nah, that's just a login to gmail...
:D
OK, here's mine:

warn me if you need me to see something in that one. i don't check it all the time.
it won't die that way, but it still won't show up in google.

Mail on its way!

kk

:)
Anything else from your side?

10:50 PM
not on this topic. i'm checking in to it some. i'll probably contact this weekend.

C U in general chat then! ;-)

i see the mail. i'll check it out.
