@Sue Someone else already made the same edit as you just did, and the OP rolled it back....

@RoryAlsop, is it okay to ask a question from a closed proposal even though I wouldn't have thought of it myself? Do I have to try to find the OP on one of their sites first?
If I can't easily find them should I give credit when I ask it, or am I over-thinking it?

@CharlieBrumbaugh it’s just not worth it. And man people forget that rockfall is an inherent danger in glaciers. At least in the Himalayan glaciers.

Sue
I certainly wouldn't care if someone did it with a question of mine, even if the proposal was still active.

@Sue if you are chatting with the OP, sure. Otherwise go for it. You could note that it came from a question by OP on a closed proposal if you want

@RoryAlsop Great, thanks for the help! Something interesting happened Wednesday when I was going to upload a photo as an edit to one of my own posts. When I clicked on the icon a message popped up saying something like, for photo formatting, search "here." (Those aren't the exact words, but it's the gist of it.) I clicked and it opened a window with only the sidebar of "related questions," and they were highlighted.
Is that something you're aware of? Was it a glitch of some kind? It hasn't happened before or since. I thought it was a great idea, and was hoping it would lead to formatting help. Posting pictures is hard to learn in our system. I find it mainly at Gardening, because we like almost every question to have a picture, and newbies need a lot of help.
@Aravona, @ab2, @RoryAlsop, @Ricketyship, @imsodin, @Kevin, @StrongBad, @gerrit, @CharlieBrumbaugh, @Wedapashi, @Liam, @anyone else who might pop in or read the transcript, if I don't see you later, have a great weekend!

@gerrit, thanks!
@StrongBad, if you wouldn't mind, I'm trying to figure out if a question is on topic at SuperUser. I know you're active there, so I'm pinging you from over here! I think what I'm looking for is on topic, but you know me, I'm nervous to go somewhere else, and risk posting at the wrong place! I have a few questions about photo files in Windows 10, newest version (whatever that is!), on my Lenovo laptop.
I don't like the photos app, especially since the most recent windows update. Or I should say it doesn't like me! It crashes constantly, loads slowly, and doesn't always give access to properties. So, I've been trying to work inside the file folders instead. Some of my questions are really simple, like how to get a photo to open in it's own window, rather than Paint or Photos App. I keep looking for the option in "Open with" but I can't seem to make it work. There are other issues too.
Is SuperUser the right place for those questions? I've genuinely worked hard to figure things out and have been all over the Windows and Microsoft help pages, but I'm lost!!! Thanks!

@Sue I am not very active over there, but that seems like the right place.

@StrongBad Great. Thanks so much for responding! It looks like there's some crossover between that and webapps. I wonder if it's hard to manage where to send what, like it sometimes is with us!
@Aravona, @ab2, @RoryAlsop, @Ricketyship (and other animal lovers), here's a cool squirrel from last year.
That's our front window. I didn't catch him on that feeder, but he and a friend made it across to the one beside it.
We love all our squirrels!
