Folks, hello. Is there some trick to searching for MMA functions that also happen to be common English words here? I am looking for info on 'Update' but get 7,000 hits... 'Update[]' doesn't help either.

@berniethejet Where are you searching, the doc center, stackexchange, google,...?

@BenKalziqi to update: they must count something like paragraph breaks or something because I had less than 1500 characters according to msword, but more than according to Wolfram ?.? I made it in, though! Should be fun :)

@berniethejet I had this problem with UpDate[]. My best solution : search "code:update" on Mathematica Stack Exchange

sorry, yes, stackexchange... so 'code:' searches just the text that has been labeled as such? That is a good trick indeed, thanks!

@CATrevillian glad it worked out eventually :)

Hi! does anyone have problems writing AltGr symbols on the WolfraScript of Wolfram Engine?
(windows)
Worse than I thought... I can write with English keyboard, but not with Portuguese keyboard... it is not an AltGr thing...

@CATrevillian I played around a bit using Plot and the options for PDF Export, and was able to get a 54k PDF at roughly the 300 quality
graphSE =
  Plot[Sin[2 t \[Pi]], {t, -10, 18}, AspectRatio -> 1.2,
   PlotStyle -> {Thickness[0.007]}, Axes -> False, PlotPoints -> 10^3];
Export[FileNameJoin[{NotebookDirectory[],
     "SEgraphnotext" <> ToString[#] <> ".pdf"}], graphSE,
   ImageSize -> #] & /@ {72, 96, 150, 300}
the key seemed to be the number of PlotPoints combined with the desired ImageSize on the export. You could also add ImageResolution option on Export if you wanted to explicitly control that.

@kirkus how did you get ImageResolution to have any effect? Had you set the ImageSize during the graphing? I didn’t see a filesize(nor quality) change when I altered the ImageResolution upon export as a pdf, having set the ImageSize during the graphing.
I’m excited to try this after food is consumed!!
