I sort of with they could introduce a /// operator that has lower precedence than = so that instead of having to do a = y; a // MatrixForm, you could actually do a = y /// MatrixForm and not have it break your code

@b3m2a1 About the auto-formatting, these paclets (Lint and AST) from @arnoud-buzing might come in handy:

Oh BTW I find comma/semi-comma first style very handy too :D Easy for my eyes! (Is it because ancient Chinese is written without ANY punctuations?)
@Silvia Do you have the GitHub URLs for Arnoud's packages?
@Silvia Sorry, stupid me.
@halirutan Sadly no. I only know it from that twitch
https://www.wolframcloud.com/objects/arnoudb/AST-0.7.paclet
wolframcloud.com/objects/arnoudb/Lint-0.7.paclet
Sorry I should just paste the directlinks here :P
No probs.. I knew I saw the URLs somewhere.

@CarlLange I use sometimes : (a=y) //MatrixForm

@andre314 Yeah, I'm just really lazy :)
Superb WTC talk about colours: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f389GXTN1og&list=PLxn-kpJHbPx0VeBoNETYfeiHxsX0i-Dbl&index=82
Something I really like about that talk and about what's often so easily done in MMA is the art of pulling on a thread and unravelling the universe.
If you asked me how to do literally any single slide of that talk in python I'd have to spend a few days reading documentation before I could even start doing anything useful.

@Silvia I was thinking the auto-formatting could be based on an existing box structure, as that allows one to keep any annotations and things, but that's a good place to start for building from the ground up.

Months by the number of MMA released there have been:
If 12 comes out this month it'll be the first release in February ever
By day of month:
By day of week:
@CarlLange There is no 12. 12 is a figment of your imagination. This is not the 12 you are looking for.
Low key though I think 12 is probably gonna come out in Feb since all the livestreams recently have been about post-12 features.
But then again maybe they'll just sit on it forever?
@b3m2a1 I agree. I was curious about what day it's likely to arrive though - almost definitely not tomorrow. Seems likely it'd be the middle of the month considering the historical data, although there's not really enough to predict on
From the livestreams it actually sounded like they were originally trying to release before the end of 2018 and didn't make it in time
To anyone who wants to build documentation and paclets and things with Mathematica. What things do you need most? I've currently got a large array of tools that I use consistently and I want to be targeted in what I extend, document, etc.
I could also combine a bunch of little functions into larger meta-functions that make life easier and cleaner for people.
Or is this not a thing people really care about or that those who do care about have already figured out? If that's the case then I'll just focus on the things @Kuba brings up :)
