@JasonB. These days, I find it way more convenient if we could use fenced codeblocks and specify language like on Gitter or GitHub
``` java
/* code */
```
But that doesn't work
@b3m2a1 The editor buttons simply change the html of the page by finding the button bar and injecting new buttons.
If you look here, I have described all the things I'm using on SE. One user script is "Select Code Blocks" that shows me a button when I hover over a code block and lets me select the complete content with one click.
I guess this would be a good start. Or you look at the JS from the editor buttons.

The next update of macOS will start warning about 32-bit programs: arstechnica.com/gadgets/2018/01/…
I wonder if the M11.3 (or whatever's next) will still ship with a 32-bit front end ...
I also wonder what it means that 32-bit programs won't run "without compromises" starting next year ...

@Szabolcs I can't find a definitive definition of "without compromises" but my guess that it means "without bugs caused by running a 32-bit program in a 64-bit environment."

@MichaelE2 My guess was that they'll require downloading a virtualization solution or something equally inconvenient

@C.E. I added a link to the bug tracker to the description. Feel free to correct or add to it.

@MichaelE2 Unfortunately the bug tracker is not kept up to date (as it says it is. Writing that it is, is a regret I have and I ought to fix it.) The reason is that the bug tracker is written in Wolfram Language, so there isn't any way to update it automatically. I guess I might be able to use Wolfram Cloud, but that isn't currently done.

Every summer, 200-some artists, mathematicians and technologists gather at the Bridges conference to celebrate connections between mathematics and the arts. It’s five exuberant days of sharing, exploring, puzzling, building, playing and discussing diverse artistic domains, from poetry to sculpture. The Wolfram Language is essential to many Bridges attendees’ work. It’s used to

I think there is an example in the documentation that shows how to make a button replace itself with a value when clicked. Does anyone know where that is/

@Edmund I think EvaluationBox
Ah wait no it was under NotebookWrite in the "Scope":
Button["click", NotebookWrite[EvaluationBox[], ToBoxes[DateString[]]]]

@b3m2a1 Excellent! Thanks.
