This is a beginner's question; I want to instantiate Point2D Java objects with JLink, when I run JavaNew["java.awt.geom.Point2D"] it finds the class. I go to the documentation and I look up what the constructor arguments are. It turns out it's an abstract class, can't be directly instantiated. However, it has two nested classes Point2D.Double and Point2D.Float. I try JavaNew["java.awt.geom.Point2D.Double"]
and now it tells me it can't find the class. Why? How do I instantiate Point2D objects?

Q: NeuralNetworks package of webMathematica for Mathematica 10 or 11?

hhhI am trying to use this code offered in the context of webMathematica here related to NeuralNetworks. I tested this in Mathematica 10 and 11 and the code does not run because of missing package NeuralNetworks. Aspiring chat here. So where can I find the NeuralNetworks package?

I moved the question to the main.
Really that question does not belong on the site. I suggest you delete it before the down-votes start.

@Mr.Wizard I have university campus license, perhaps it is there?

@Kuba This certainly seems related: mathematica.stackexchange.com/q/2793/121

In version 10.1.0 I am getting a different result from what a version 10.3 user reports:
1
A: Compute coefficients of a monomial

Mr.WizardMy best guess: ClearAll[f] f[a_.*x___] := a Now: f[1/2*x[1, 2]^3*c[1]] f[3*x] f[x[1, 2]^3] 1/2 3 1 Be aware that Times will reorder expressions due to the Orderless attribute; if from f[c[1]*1/2*x[1, 2]^3] you want c[1] you will need to also define: Attributes[f] = HoldAll;

Can anyone confirm this?

Q: Cannot enter the (existing) built-in-functions tag

მამუკა ჯიბლაძეIt just happened to me when asking a question. I wanted to add the built-in functions tag to my question. When I start typing it, this appears as an option, although I cannot choose it. Still, when I finish typing it, the words transform themselves into the built-in-functions tag. However when I...

@Pickett It's a special case since Point2D.Double is an inner class. You find it in the Doc-Center under JLink/tutorial/CallingJavaFromTheWolframLanguage#3959:
<< JLink`
point = JavaNew["java.awt.geom.Point2D$Double", 1, 2]

point@getX[]
@R.M. I just stumbled over Git Large File Storage which should be perfect for my small non-professional case.

@halirutan ah, there it is. Thank you.
