Has someone experience why SaveDefinitions is not working for DynamicModule in V8.0.4?

f[x_] := x + 1;
DynamicModule[{x}, {Slider[Dynamic[x]], Dynamic[f[x]]},
 SaveDefinitions -> True]

The above works perfectly in V9 but not in V8.

The important thing is that after killing the kernel, the DynamicModule should still be functional.

@ssch Is that polyhedra roll lots of code? I'm considering to write my own (mostly to flex my brains in mma-fu...)

@halirutan I thought SaveDefinitions was not a valid option for DynamicModule until V9.
