this one should be deleted. I am also puzzled by a deleted answer in the same thread. The answerer demands some context, post an answer, asker sees it, the answer gets deleted by author. I don't think should be encouraged.

@ParamanandSingh I have seen it more than once that Michael Rozenberg posts an answer and deletes it immediately. A recent example is here. The “answer” was originally: “... I solved your problem. If you want to see my solution, please show your attempts”. This was edited within the grace period, and another dummy answer added.

@MartinR: I think even if one wants to get a first answer slot by posting and deleted almost instantly and then wait for improvement of question, it makes sense not to post actual answers.
Anyway it is interesting to note that Michael Rozenberg voted to delete the question I linked so he does seem to agree ij principle that such PSQs need to be deleted.

I want an opinion on whether a question could/should be closed as a duplicate of another if the questions are clearly different but an answer on the linked question directly applies.

More specifically, math.stackexchange.com/… I'm thinking could/should be closed as math.stackexchange.com/… but I'm second guessing myself and since I've a gold badge in combinatorics, it wouldn't go up for vote if I did
That is, math.stackexchange.com/questions/3786256/… as to be closed and math.stackexchange.com/questions/733754/… as to be closed as duplicate as
