The above is on the HNQ. The question needs context, and has attracted two low-quality answers.
One answer is just a hint; the other relies on two memorized (or looked-up) formulae with zero insight.

this question is incomprehensible, and hence needs edit, clarity, and more details to make sense.

Needs context; has two FGITW answers 120 seconds after posting. What is the sum $\sum_{n = 0}^\infty \frac{e^n}{n!}$?‭ - Alvis Nordkovich‭ 2020-03-30 17:34:21Z
It is sad when answers can be written more quickly than comments requesting clarification...

@user21820 I've done what I can; no votes left.
@amWhy Pure word salad.

Another β€œparadox” when computing the sum of all integers – perhaps someone knows a better duplicate target, I made three suggestions.

@MartinR Actually, I think the post is best closed due to lack of clarity and details. If it was a better question, but also duplicate, I'd vote to close as a dupe. But I don't want to add crap to any chain of duplicates.

@amWhy Yes, the Closing a poor question as off-topic or as a duplicate? dilemma, and I see your argument.

@XanderHenderson I know. The sad truth is that a handful of users think they can mind-read, which is handy, when they also prove to be rep-hunters.

@XanderHenderson Even more sad is that those 200K users continue to pick cherries - giving low-quality answers to dupe FAQs instead of finding good dupe targets then organizing and improving them. Again, gamification is the root of all evil. Our only hope is to use some peer pressure to discourage this. Both answers are now eligible for deletion. Send a message if you truly care about the quality of the site.

I think you're right, @BillDubuque, about gamification. It might be harmless in a few folks hands, but leave it to manipulators and gamification addicts, we all suffer, and the site suffers. Even the review queues have become another playfield for such gamification addicts!

^^^ Update: now not deletion eligible - they both got a pity upvote, sigh. That's a problem with downvoting answers on active questions.

@BillDubuque The sad thing is, @Bill, @Xander, is that objecting to such answers, actually seems foster "rescue/support/pity votes, both on comments and answers.
@BillDubuque That may have been my fault. The downvoting of answers. :(

@amWhy They both had 2 downvotes, but are now back to 0, so they need at least 1 more downvote and 2 more delete votes iirc. Alas, the problem with pity upvotes has been here since the dawn of the site

I was just going to try to bump that post myself! Via an edit. Thanks, @Bill. I hadn't seen that post before.

@amWhy I couldn't easily find it so I added the word "pity" to the title so that we can easily locate it when we need to refer others to that meta discussion. As I mentioned the other day, good "buzzwords" work wonders.

@BillDubuque Very good idea! I shall henceforth easily locate that post!
@BillDubuque @Xander, Now the question, and both answers at score of net 1. :: Shakes head::

@user21820 D1-D12 are all gone; D13-D15 now have 2 delete votes, need only a third each.

Any thoughts on this meta post. I commented that it could be problematic (the suggestion by the OP). But since I alone commented, my enemies often retaliate by upvoting things I object to. Just curious. I'd like to see more posts closed as dupes, but I'm not keen on seeing the likes of PSQs closed as dupes.
