I have recently seen a large number of edits in the review queue from this user
nearly all of them simply copy the first sentence of the question into the title
and are annotated "Comment: I changed the tite into a question so that others having the same question as yours can search it on the Internet"
is there any way to flag this more generally as inappropriate?

@Did That's why I keep saying (to little avail) that it is absolutely necessary for everyone to learn basic logic, even if they are not a math major. As you say, that Wikipedia article links to circular reasoning and begging the question, and sadly the very existence of those pages shows the dire lack of logic in education.
@AloizioMacedo Thanks! Upcoming crank. Please help to watch out for future posts from the same. Cranks never let go either.
@user193319 For subsequent cases, click on the link "edited xxx ago" to go to the question's revision history and then click "rollback" on the version you want.

@XanderHenderson @quid: Is such editing inappropriate? I'm not sure, because it seems that user is in fact improving each question he/she edits, so I'd be inclined to say that it's appropriate.

@Did @amWhy: This nonsense should be deleted.

@user21820 improving the title is a good thing. One could say that the edits are not complete enough, but the few I checked still seem reasonable enough to me. Generally the user seems to be acting in good faith. If you are anyone sees a specific issue with some edit(s) tell the user about it. Editors are comment-notifiable (even though autocomplete will not show them) cc @XanderHenderson

@quid That's interesting; I didn't know about the comment-pingability of editors. Thanks!

There is a faq post with all sorts of details about comment notifications.
But IIRC the cases where you can ping somebody who isn't offered in autocomplete is an editor, a user who close the questions using dupehammer and a mod who closed the question.
I hope that what I remember is at least close to reality.
If somebody has spare time to read, many details can be found in here: How do comment @replies work?

@user21820 @quid Maybe I've only seen the poor edit attempts, but the versions I saw all consisted of copying the first line of the question into the title box, even if it cut off half-way through a sentence, or didn't actually make the title any more descriptive.
For example, I don't see this as being any improvement at all

@XanderHenderson Yea I agree that doesn't improve that question, and was a pointless edit since the question itself wasn't a good one.

Ditto this edit (same user)

@XanderHenderson I definitely agree that the edit for this one is for the worse. I guess that this user was going for the copy editor badge. Blame the SE system for making this a game that can be gamed...

As I keep saying gamification is evil :(

@user21820 But... it... was... upvoted! Who are you to even consider deleting an upvoted answer? :-)

@Did When I commented on it, it didn't have any upvote yet. =D

@user21820, @Did Don't be surprised to find another meta question from Jack about the deletion within one day of this post, arguing for an absurd span of time in which users should be prohibited from voting to delete an answer. :/

PSQ. Also see the same asker's earlier question today: here
@user21820, @Did, @XanderHenderson, @ProfesorVector, @all See the above links to PSQ's, and also this no effort PSQ with plea for a step-by-step solution, and the askers other PSQ

exceptionally poor PSQ, Closed three days ago. Needs to be closed, deleted, in my opinion.
re ^ it is closed, the last link I posted; needs another delete vote.

@amWhy This one is even older.

@user21820 Indeed it is!
Hi, @quid!

@MartinSleziak somebody who offered a bounty too. What I do not know is if a mod that lock and unlocks post then could be notified.
It's not listed but it seems plausible.
hello @amWhy

@XanderHenderson it's borderline, agreed, but it's not that bad either.
